Call Detail Records are business records documenting the calls, texts and data usage for a cellular device. Each of the cellular network providers maintain these records for each device that uses that network. These CDR’s also contain general information about its location and who it communicates with during a transaction. Other reports available from the cellular network providers can have much more specific location information.
Law Enforcement uses CDR mapping software to process these records and generate maps to compare device location, crime locations, known residences, license plate reader data, device extraction information and other location based information for investigative purposes.
